„El Kiosco“ (2021\/2024) ist part of the yearly exhibition „Artist at work“.
In Kolumba, El Kiosco becomes an installation that refers to the urban infrastructures that have now largely disappeared and that allowed us to come into contact with an everyday micro-economy of objects and affects. El Kiosco is set up in reference to the title of the annual exhibition „Artist at Work“ and becomes a platform for encounters and for the exchange of different artistic forms of work and practices. This ephemeral architecture is activated in a processual, collaborative and cumulative way throughout the entire duration of the exhibition. The artist talks about this process and the previous kiosks in an open dialogue with visitors.

The tenth edition of the Berliner Hefte zu Geschichte und Gegenwart der Stadt, „Spielclub. Kinder Stadt Geld“ (ed. Claudia Hummel, Valeria Fahrenkrog, Katharina von Hagenow, 2023) was created as part of the nGbK project Spielclub Oranienstra\u00dfe 25 (2019\/20), which reactivated the principle of the Spielklub developed by artists for the Sch\u00f6neberg Kulmer Kiez in the early 1970s: a play city critical of capitalism, built by working-class children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event program in the nGbK exhibition space, with Stadtkinder \u2013 Stadt der Kinder, offered insights into the portrayal of children in urban planning information and documentary films of the 1950s\/60s \u2013 from the \u201cyesterday\u201d of the Wilhelminian era to the \u201ctomorrow\u201d of post-war modernism. In cooperation with Cittipunkt, we are showing parts of Stadtkinder \u2013 Stadt der Kinder again, supplemented by further film examples, and combining these with the presentation of the Spielclub booklet, which retrospectively reflects both the history of ideas of self-governing children’s republics and artistic-activist projects of the 1970s as well as the events in the Spielclub Oranienstra\u00dfe 25<\/p>\n\n\n\n
