wanderspace, Siegen, March-July 2024

Together with artists and regional actors in South Westphalia, wanderspace develops and implements art projects that enable cultural participation. Art and artistic strategies unfold in public spaces and are the starting point and reference framework for encounters. wanderspace is an artistic-scientific research project at the University of Siegen that investigates and promotes art and culture in rural-industrialized areas.

In numerous walks from the city center to the outskirts and into the countryside, I photographically documented textures, objects and shapes as well as random arrangements of materials and translated these into drawings and graphic image surfaces. The resulting images served as the starting material for interventions in public space at three different locations in Siegen.
